NARSV1 is an advanced video encoding/transcoding solutions with text and graphic overlay capability. The NARSV1 can be used for local overlay of text and graphic information on top of digital video content. Such capabilities can be used for local advertising, local and/or emergency announcements, station logo cover, and local graphic displays.

Digital Overlay

NARS integrates video encoding with powerful digital overlay processing capabilities.The system accepts MPEG-2 TS input and supports output in either MPEG-2 TS or H.264 format in standard definition.

Overlays can be embeded dynamically according to pre-set schedules and can be configured to support static or moving text or graphics, different text sizes, colors, transparency levels and animated graphics.

All of the necessary configuration and management tasks can be performed from a web browser. The original video image can also be resized to make room for additional screen real-estate for overlay.

Local Advertising and Information

NARS is ideal for providing advertising and information services over digital video programs. Different local operators can display different local text and graphics over video programs originated elsewhere.

Typical applications include local advertising, emergency announcement,road conditions,weather, etc. Operators can use the system to pre-schedule overlay tasks for fully automated operations.

Manual overlay operations for just-in-time announcements are also supported.

Manageability and Upgradeability

NARS is field-upgradeable and programmable to support more advanced services, such as video splicing, targeted video advertising, and video content based advertising (video fingerprint).

Customers have the flexibility to incrementally add new service features as the business needs expand. It shares the same platform, same management interface, modular feature sets, and interchangeable hardware platforms.
